After a confusing few years of smartphones from Samsung, it’s clear that the Korean company needs to change up their strategy. With overlapping models and recycled templates over recent releases with metal bodies in 2017 alone, there are too many similarities between each phone on offer – especially since newer ones still look nearly identical next to older versions which continue being sold alongside them at reduced prices due largely because they lack new features or better specifications for higher price points.
Innovation has been hard-pressed by Chinese competitors releasing more advanced devices every few months while pushing more features into all ranges of device types across different regions – even if these aren’t necessarily economical options themselves given what you’re getting compared against other brand’s prices.
Samsung has a wide range of options on the market today, but they really need to focus each line so that their phone consumer doesn’t have to keep up with all models available just to find something very similar from their existing collection only months later as an alternative if not as a temporary replacement for those reasons.
If you’re looking for a new high-end smartphone that’s packed full of features and comes at an affordable price, check out the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro which is now available in Pakistan.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is a high-end smartphone that has been launched in Pakistan. It comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor and 6GB of RAM, which makes it one of the most powerful phones available on the market today.
The phone also features 64GB of internal storage space and a large 4,000mAh battery. It has a huge 6-inch display and boasts some impressive camera specs too: 16MP rear cam, 24MP front camera.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro also comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio, virtual surround sound and facial recognition. On top of all this, the phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat straight out of the box – which is great for future updates because Oreo has just been released by Google, so you’ve got that to look forward to.
What is the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro Price in Pakistan?
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro Price in Pakistan is Rs 40,999.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro look and feel
There’s no doubt this phone looks impressive, it boasts a 6-inch screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio which gives the device more of a widescreen vibe than other phones on the market today. Its huge bezels ensure that physical buttons are kept to a minimum and make way for the huge display as well as some nifty features like facial recognition (which works surprisingly well) and even 3D scanning via the front-facing camera.
The fingerprint scanner has been added underneath both cameras and is easily accessible without any real thought process required; we found we were able to unlock our phone very quickly after only a little amount of time using it and never had any issues at all – I guess that’s what you get when you opt for high-end phones from Samsung.
Another nice feature is the dedicated Bixby button on the left side of the device which can be used to activate Google Assistant – great for those times when you want to quickly look something up and don’t feel like touching your screen.
I found that my hand was in a very comfortable position when using this phone, it sits in my palm really well and we think we’ll be able to hold it securely without dropping down too many stairs or bumping into things anytime soon (fingers crossed).
The only downside I experienced while testing out this phone has to do with its weight; given its large display and HD+ resolution (1080 x 2220 pixels), the C9 Pro is really heavy at 189g. This isn’t the heaviest phone we’ve tested (we think that title belongs to Sharp’s Aquos Xx3 which was a massive 243g), but it did make our hands and arms ache after about an hour of use – maybe this issue can be resolved via future software updates?
The Samsung Galaxy C9 comes with a 6 inch Super AMOLED display, which means the colours are extremely vibrant and accurate in all lighting conditions. We found that looking at photos taken on this phone brought them much more to life than they would have been displayed on another screen, making for much more satisfying viewing.
The device also boasts a 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution which gives you a pixel per inch (PPI) density of about 403. This means you can watch Full HD content with great clarity and even use this device for virtual reality if you want to – there are not many high-end phones with this resolution on the market right now, but it is pretty incredible.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro comes fitted with Android 7.1 Nougat straight out of the box which gives the phone an edge over competitors because Oreo has just been released by Google; we’re expecting it to be updated in early 2018 at least so that’s great news for future users.
Another advantage here is that Nougat allows networks and carriers to customise phones in ways which they couldn’t previously, meaningless bloatware for us when we get our hands on the handset.
It’s great to see that this device comes with 64GB of storage by default but sadly there’s no microSD slot which means you’ll have to make do with everything Samsung has preloaded onto the phone – hopefully they don’t fill it up with their own apps and services too much though!
The fingerprint scanner is always a great addition because it can be used in place of your PIN or password when needed, although some people find them annoying so maybe stick to pin-codes if you’re one of those people – just keep in mind that not everyone likes using them either.
features and performance
Now, let’s talk about what’s really important and get down to the nitty-gritty – this phone has a Snapdragon 653 processor inside it with an octa-core CPU, which means you should be able to run almost anything on your phone without any issues.
It comes loaded up with 4GB of RAM too which if you’re not familiar is quite a bit when compared to other phones in the same price bracket; this means that wait times when switching between apps should be much lower than they would be on one of Samsung’s older devices for example.
The camera here is impressive too because it can shoot video at 1080p at 60fps and also allows you to capture images using both phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and autofocus (AF) at the same time – it’s not something you see every day so we’re pretty impressed.
We found that device capture times were around just one second, which is amazing for a cheaper smartphone; this means you’ll be able to catch all your favourite moments without any problems whatsoever.
It was important for us to test out the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro ourselves because there are always rumours about phones online before release, but if you ask us it’s definitely worth recommending this phone to people who don’t want to spend too much cash on their next handset.
